Question Black Bear Warfbow Setup

Hey all. New here. I acquired a Black Bear Warfbow a bit ago and I'm just now getting around to shooting it enough to warrant doing a set up. It has trad tech 40 pound long limbs. I'm currently drawing 29 inches. My plan is to shoot split finger (possibly 3 under) without consciously aiming.

I understand 8 - 8.5" brace height?
What about tiller? +1/4" on the top limb?
Where do you start with nock height? Half inch?

I've been shooting some crappy amazon 500's through it and doing pretty good at 10-15 yards. Can't wait to get some xx75's. Then it's practice practice practice till next years hunting season. Keep with the compound this year

Thanks all!

Welcome to the forum.

I don't have my BB anymore, but I'm sure that I used 8.5" for the brace height with long limbs. If your string is the right length you should be able to get it right by sound starting at 8" and adding twists until it is the quietest it can be.

I tied my knock point at 5/8" above the arrow rest (or shelf).

I had it set for even tiller, and never had a problem. I was shooting out to 20yds max at the time, so my setup may not have needed perfection. Still I was putting 3 arrows into a 6" group which made me happy at the time.

welcome to the forum......I have a good friend Bob Roach.
Brace sounds close to right, it's always an adjsutable thing, not written in stone.
Most start with zero or even tiller....adjust if there's a real need.
Nock height is different for different folks...I start around 3/8 USUALLY but have had setups that need more like 3/4" DL is 28" and a lot of my setups do end up around your 1/2"........
most on here use 2 nocks, one above, one below, to keep arrow from slipping down.....leave a puny gap so arrow nock is not squeezed 'tween the 2 nock sets.
