Default WARFs too thread post your pictures

I think there's been precious little love bestowed on WARF risers (on here) lately.
I've had a ton of 'em, and if I had not shared with friends by selling them, I could start a metal yard.
I have ONE, bought the other day for a song, and I can't sing well.
This is a 19" Hoyt Tracker, and these were all recurve bolt down risers, as I know it.....as in none that I know of were used in compounds.
Loc Do did the ILF conversion on this one, and the previous owner got it refinished in ? someone's powder coating.
I've had several of these, and I think the total number of them I've SEEN might be 5....or 6... so they must be scarce, as I read the various ads A LOT.
I've decided these are one of my top 2 favorite warf risers....and I've not decided yet if it is THE favorite, or number 2, and I guess I don't have to.
These are almost like a DAS riser to me, as they seem to weigh about the same, MUST BE similar in centershot, as I'm running an old DAS side plate on this one, THANKS ANTON? or Avid Archer? Arrow tip lines up just slightly to left of string, is why I say it must be cut to center similar to DAS....and one of Anton's weight assemblies in the stab hole, what a work of art Anton's stuff is!!
These Tracker risers take DAS Jager grips pretty well, MOST I've had took zero altering, this one included......my old laminated finger-groove Loesch grip does not fit this one, is off about a half-hole.....and that's ok as it sits on my old scurvey bronze Dalaa, anyway.
I bought this riser lately from CHADMR82 who snagged it FOR ME as we both love these risers.....having traded one back & forth several times in the past.
THANKS CHAD.
I strung it up with my Extreme BF limbs, mediums, and a Mountain Muffler string THANKS STEVE on here.....
even tiller, and 7.75" brace......and it shoots GREAT, just a bare "thump" at the shot.
What a great riser and limb combo.
My trophy rig for the morning, feel free to toss in pics of your WARFs or other favorites ......no rules.....

I still look for the elusive Tracker when looking for other archery stuff.

On the Warf Facebook page, someone called a Warf bow a "Trans-bow," absolutely not the correct term! I have been gathering risers to Warf in hopes that my 4 children will show interest in recurves. Below is a Warfed riser that I won in a drawing on this sight, I believe it was Warfed by Bob Gordon, I got the wooden grip on Ebay.

Steve, I love the looks of the Tracker. Me thinks that it would be a good one for a DAS connection is so inclined.

I'll post my very first Warf project. The riser is not in the group that would be considered best to Warf. It is a Hoyt Pro Force. It was owned by a good friend of mine, but unfortunately a limb broke. He gave the riser to me because he knew I was interested in converting it to a recurve bow. I used a set of plates that the late Del Roberts spearheaded. I'm sure many of you remember him. Truly a great guy. So I removed the old paint, cut off the cable guard, installed the plates, puttied it so everything was smooth, and gave it a new rattle can coat of paint with some clear coat. Signed it and gave it back to my friend. It was wonderful to see the excitement when he took the bow and was able to shoot it again. The Pro Force shared some components with the Pro Vantage like the cross bolt system for limb bolts. It was a good looking riser, but had a more reflexed geometry. Used the same grips that fit the Hoyt TD's. Actually shot pretty good. Here is a picture.

Nice looking riser Bart.
Grip, since it is a Hoyt, does the grip say 2r or 3r like the TD-3 grips do?
only curious......

Yup! Same thing. I still have a Pro Vantage and the 2r, 3r, and 4r grips are interchangeable.

Here's a photo of the Pro Force before conversion. You can see the grip more clearly.

Good to learn new stuff.
NICE that Pro Force you posted has the extra centershot too. "crook" in the plunger area.
Yeh I have talked at length with Jonhdo about the Trackers......I actually tried to get this riser when the Facebook guy contacted JONHDO to convert it to ILF......the native Tracker risers are cool in that all you need to do to DAS them is slot the limb pads a little like doing the TD-3 to DAS.
I had a good ILF Tracker to trade the guy for this one before going ILF with it, but he wanted THIS one, and not my gold one.
If anyone finds a native Tracker I will trade this one already warfed to ILF for an original.
It's kind of poetic that I ended up with this one, anyway........the guy wanted something else, so CHADMR82 snagged it for me.

We have been binge watching StarTrek the Next Generation. Warf has been getting a lot of love at my house.

I really like that tracker Steve. Honored that my stabs are on your bows. I was just outside shooting my tribute and elite. Gosh I just like those longer risers better and shoot them better. I keep wanting a 19" riser to love but they just never stick around. These old hoyt warfs bring me back to the 90s when I was a teenager deciding what to shoot..looking at the bow hunters encyclopedia in the Highschool library. Pictures of Chuck adams when he was shooting I think a proforce. I ended up with a Wes Wallace partner recurve...wish I would have known about warfs then!

Love that powder coat..and that tapped rest/side plate hole.

Those BFs and that riser are a treat.. I had same set up one time.. sent the limbs off into the unknown and riser back to Steve.

I have since reacquired the “gold” tracker from steve.. has vx1000s hanging on It now..

This is the end all warf for me..especially being a 19”.

I have the ubiquitous Bear Black Bear with Trad Tech Carbon/foam limbs. It came with a springy rest which I left on and it's a great shooter. It makes a 64" bow. I keep it in case I ever do any bow fishing for snakeheads.
