Default Kaya K2 limbs?

I have a set of KAYA K2 limbs coming with a riser I bought. Are they decent performers.

Thanks
Gil

I had and sold a set - they're ok performance wise for an entry level carbon-wood limb. I personally liked the TT BM 2.0 better (plain wood-glass) since they were much easier to tune very quiet. I always got a hint of "ping" from the K2 which I didn't like.

But nothing wrong with K2 at all. Actually nothing wrong with the Kaya range of limbs.... I wish the Kaya Storm was still being made!

Thanks I have them on a DAS riser so I am betting they will be quiet. I have to build a string for that bow before I can shoot it.

I have 2 sets of them -a 30lb long that works out to about 40lbs on a 19 inch riser at my draw length and a 38 lb long that comes in at 47 lbs . I love them-tried other less expensive category limbs but they all seem flimsy compared to the K2s . Suppose I could spend a lot more and get a better limb but don't see where there would be that much to gain.

Thanks. I have to build some strings before I can shoot them. I intend to build some tonight and I will follow up when done testing them out. I have 4 das risers that which each set of limbs make a 64" bow. I will test them against Border, Dryad and Tradtech limbs.

Interested to hear your results.

I have always been impressed that they Kaya / Soul can make entry-level limbs made in Korea that are well made, all the way up to high end limbs.

I thought Kaya Archery died but it seems their website is still live and I also just bought a Kaya Black Cat horsebow... so maybe they resurfaced?

I tried the K2 today. They seem quick and for not having silencers or Limsavers, they aren't too loud. Very smooth drawing. I have a very long draw at 31" and no stacking out to my draw and smooth all the way. I was shocked to be honest.

The limbs are mediums marked 36# on a 25". I am shooting them on a 21" Das making a 64" bow. On this riser @ 31" they are 48.95#.

I am going to tune the bow, put silencers and limbsavers on and chrono them when done. I think I will be keeping these. I am very pleasantly surprised.

I will let you know my final results with them, but from shooting them today they feel like keepers to me.

GilV, what position were your limb bolts in to achieve that weight? Nice that they seem to be working out for you.

Dave there are a few turns left in the riser. I thought I read where Kaya measures their limbs with the bolts all the way out.

I also just shot my 19" Tribute with Border Hex 6 long limbs to compare to these. They felt like they were 60# compared to these, they loaded quick. I weighed them and they were 45.46#. They seemed faster though.

Yep, I think I read the same thing about the Kayas being rated at minimum setting. It will interesting to hear how your chrono testing goes. I suspect you will find that they are a pretty good bang for the buck.
