Default Ye Olde Mosin!

91/30 42R I have reworked.

Added a walnut cheek piece.
Bedded, pillar bedded.
Cut and crowned barrel, brass ball turned.
Spoon handle
AIM mount with a horizontal rear slot for base alignment.
Trigger work with a 6x32 screw down through the top of the trigger to limit slack and creep/sear height.
Ring added to cocking piece for easy safety on and off.
Barrel floated.
Old K4 Weaver.
Action and tang bedded.
Butt plate 3/8's inch Delrin R. Harrelson sent me with skateboard tape on the back to keep the rifle sticky to my shoulder, thanks Rick!
Removed all metal cross lugs and added a fiberglass 5/16's horizontal rod behind the recoil lug.
Slugged my barrel, .311

Hand loads have down to MOA with three shots but have only worked with one load.
150 Sierra soft point, .311 diameter.
PPU brass.
4320 powder. (not going to say how many grains on an open forum) Consult manuals or PM me for the weight in grains.

Sounds like a nice deer-bear-elk gun. 1 MOA from a project like that is sweet.

It's fun to take a turd and mold into more elegant turd. lol

I hate fancy stuff and shiny stocks and gloss in general but I like dull yugly proprietary red neck smit. Killed to bucks with it last year.

I got nothing against 'pretty' but in guns it's irrelevant. I'm clumsy and my stuff tends to get knocked against trees and rocks and brush. I couldn't bear to bring a fancy double gun into the woods. Even my nicest stuff is gonna get the 'collectors value' kicked out of it ;-)

Hoping to ding up a few fly rods this year.
