Huh?
Archery and professional basketball--what is the connection? I found this in an article from the Los Angeles Times posted by Yahoo News.
This was describing the recent Laker victory and how Matthews and Harrell had to step up to make up for Anthony Davis and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope being out of the lineup.
I am interested in seeing how archery helped lead to a Laker victory.
"Due to Matthews’ archery, Montrezl Harrell’s relentless force and usual excellence from James, the Lakers hung on for a 117-115 win over the Chicago Bulls at Staples Center."

I think he just pantomimes archery when he makes a good shot.
I guess after pretending he tried it for real and liked it. But I think its mostly just drama thing.

Re: Huh?
Ever read 'Free Throws' by Dr. Tom Amberry? When I read it I changed my whole sequence. I give one to almost every student I have. You can get it on Amazon for 4 to 8 bucks. I usually buy 3 to 6 at a crack.
Anyone want to take a guess on how many free throws he sank in a row? Guess high!!!

Re: Huh?
I looked up Wes Matthews and archery and it turns out that he is known for an arrow shooting shot celebration when he makes a three pointer. This goes back to his Dallas Maverick days. I thought it was a typo. Internet articles are loaded with them, especially from large news services that seem to rush to publish.

Both activities are highly dependent on Chinese funding.

Ahhh, I'm so relieved...if archery ever does find its way into the NBA I'll give it up too!

Re: Huh?
100 seems high, so I'd guess 200, but you're probbbbly going to say he made 300 in a row

Re: Huh?
Nice guess Steve, but I said "high". He sank 2750 free throws in a row. He had 5 or 7 scorers for the record. He shot free throws for 12 straight hours without a miss. He had to quit, because they closed the gym.
Now that's impressive. The book explains how he did. A couple of years ago, during the winter here in WI I told an avid golfer about the book. Towards the end of May I saw the guy at the gym and he thanked me for telling him about the book. He said he had taken two and a half strokes off his game from the last year. Keep in mind that here in WI we don't start golfing too early in the year.
