Default Wes Wallace custom recurve

I would like some feedback on these recurves. Has anyone ever shot one and what's the scoop on them?

I still have one (one piece Mentor) although I don't shoot it anymore since discovering metal risers. It is a beautiful work of the bow makers art. For what it is (wood riser) it shoots just fine. Quieted down easily by just adding some fuzzy stuff on the string.

Wes Wallace is a real gentleman and stands behind his work. Even though that style of bow is no longer my preference I would highly recommend Wes as a bowyer.

I owned and shot a Wes Wallace Partner for about a year. It was my main bow, 64" and pulling 60#@30 inches. The workmanship was immaculate. The limbs were stack-free and it as a pleasure to shoot. I especially liked the handle configuration. I thought that it shot as well (or perhaps better) as a Black Widow, but wasn't quite a quick as a Black Douglas. It was a real solid performer. I only sold the bow to decrease my draw weight.

i have and shoot the mentor in a one piece in ebony and bamboo, 46#@28"

i believe it to be one of the best shooting bows out there.

a bit on the pricey side, but well worth it; quality costs.

i will not part with it.

I have one of his longbows and I shoot it alot. I really like it and it is very quite and shoots hunting weight arrows as fast or faster than bows costing more money.
I have shot other peoples Wallace recurves. I think it is a real shooter. The ones I have shot out perform my Bear Takedown with less draw weight.
You would not go wrong buying one of his bows.

Ive been shooting Wes's bows for 15 years. I am going to order another one soon. He is a great man and his bows are just as good. There isnt another longbow I have shot that compares in overall smoothness and performance. You couldnt go wrong with a custom bow by Wes Wallace.
