Default Parts for Bear polar II compound

I have an "old" Bear polar II that was "retired" many years ago. I would like to rebuild it and need some info on finding parts. This old MONSTER has a steel cable system. The cable and string need to be replaced. Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks and God Bless!

I'd suggest start watching ebay. Old bears showing up there regularly, get one and cannibalize it for parts.

guypowerup-
Welcome to the forum!

I believe the strings on those things were dacron, so you could have a string made by any string-maker as long as you know your length. Coming up with a steel cable with teardrops may be more problematic. I'd ask those same string-makers for advice.

I think (as dangerous as that might be) I might have a set of tear drop cables in the cave somewhere. I might of made hog drags out of them, I'll have to go check what Diameter are the cables.(if I still have them of course) Can you put a set of calipers on them?

I'll look today and see if I still have them. or I can see if my sister at PSE can still get tear drop cables, they convert all the old cables system bows over to fast flight these days.

Aloha

do you still have a complete cable? I think the strings may have 39" .If you have a cable ytou can duplicte the measurments from the one[both the same] Easy enough to do . The buss ends just get set under a allen screw. pm me if you need more help -I might be able to find my old warrenty booklets and get you very close...

I have the cables from a couple bows laying around, if they'll work, you're welcome to them.
