Default I'm getting far too excited!

Wednesday is the day! I'm going to meet Pip Bickerstaffe and get my new bow! It's going to be so much fun!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh.....!
I feel like running around the table yapping my head off, like those little pesky dogs.

I'm so looking forward to this. I do fear he's a bit of a harsh teacher... but who cares!

Pip Bickerstaffe..

Renown English longbow bowyer..

Not only a bowyer but writes books on the subject of shooting the English Long bow

http://www.bickerstaffebows.co.uk/

A bow, made for my grandson..

From a stave of yew, from Monmouth, the ancestral birthplace of King Henry V.

Brought ito the shop of Pip Bickerstaffe, where it was made into a beautiful English self longbow.
Attached are some photos.

A photo of the ruins of the castle, at Monmouth, where Henry V was born..

I'm really happy!
It was a lot of fun and learned quite a bit. Now it just needs some time to sink in.

Hello
You are coming along nicely for your age and what I am seeing.
We all have are suggestion. And mine would be. Acquire a thin chest guard. To help the bow string shot on release while wearing a heavy sweater shirt. [ Later

For my age? Haha, I have no frame of reference, because I'm the only longbow shooter at my range. I'm glad Pip took the time to explain some things to me. The book is great, but it's sometimes easier to understand in real life.
Thank you for your advice.
