Default Arrow change.

My old supplier is now out of business, which I did not know until I took a drive this morning just to find an empty shop.
So thinking this is my chance to drop Carbon express and switch to the far more available Easton I head to Advanced archery.
I haven't shot Easton for years because I'm cheap an they aren't.
So the nice lady at Advanced Archery shows me about the shop and the arrow selection.
$20,,are you kidding me !
An those are the cheap ones.
So say's I "what about them over there".
Not really, their just a beginners target shaft.
Well, the spine is .570 which is well within the ball park for me, so why not ?.
But their a beginners target arrows.
Big deal I'm not intimidated by labels so hand em' over.
I get the shop to put one together on the spot, and I shoot it beside one of my CX Predators on their shop target.
On a straight vertical the Easton shows very slightly stiff beside the CX an that's just fine by me so off home I go.
I take a bare shaft and three fletched arrows to the butt.
Shoot the bare shaft a bit and it's hitting dead centre and straight with just a little nock high porpoise out to 20.
We can fix that later but for now let's try a group or two at 20 with the finished arrows.
So this is with no tuning what so ever, and I'm stacking them in there like I never have with my old CX's.
And their still just a beginners target shaft,,,,,LOL.
Easton Inspire .570 @ 29.5" 2.5 Blazer vanes, 75g nib point.
$120 per Doz.
Good thing I'm just a beginner target shooter.

BEST.
John.

I feel your pain arrows aren't cheap. I like cx arrows tho.
Sad part is when you know the arrow is priced at $6-7 normally but price gouging $16-18 for same exact arrow. I know they need to keep the doors open but double the price, ouch.
Enjoy the new arrows.
Just ordered some cxl pros today looking forward to trying them this indoor season.

Good find! Indeed, I have seen "beginner" arrows in off spines but if they happen to fit you then that's great and I would say "go for it". I am a big fan of keeping arrows inexpensive enough that you don't worry about them.

I got lucky on amazon a couple years ago and picked up some CX Medallion Pros on clearance for $3 a shaft. I ordered 3 dozen, and then went back to order another 3. They were out by the time I tried to find them again. The only issue now is finding points and pins. Every time I come across some on clearance I order them. Should be set for a couple more years.

I was in NZ for the World Masters Games in April. Before I headed over I checked the prices of arrows, just in case they were less than over here. No such luck! You have my sympathy at those prices.

Entry level arrows are a mixed bag. Some aren't of a very high quality, but others are. For example, I have a set of W&W Atrax that are extremely good. Sounds like you've found some good arrows
