Default Morrison 25 inch riser pictures

Saw this 25-inch riser on Morrisons site www.morrisonarchery.com/ a year or so back and messaged Bob about trying one.

We agreed that when the time was right He would like to pass one around for several to try out and send along to the next Guy so here we are today with a few pictures of this riser.

I will explain up front I am no photographer and I am not paid or affiliated with Morrison in any official way by receiving money or gifts. This is quote, "Just a fun thing" as I told Bob and would be a treat to shoot this Puppy in my yard and maybe even stump a but with it, you know, shoot arrows and hope I do not lose them in the woods behind my house.

I am still finding old one's by the way from years ago when I roam the familiar stomping grounds this time of year looking for sheds.

Will make some comments later on and do some shooting but for a

starter here are some pictures and just a few specs on the riser as I have noted myself.

Weighs about 3 pounds naked.
Feels like it has a nice rounded out weight on the bottom end of about 7 or 8 ounces.
In the web of the hand, it will balance just a bit with the top tilted back at about 15 degree's, will just hang there in your hand nicely.

The pocket angle is 17 degrees and while I believe this riser will be very close to weighing limbs marked for a 25-inch riser, the PSE, AKA Sky
limbs actually marked 42, gained about 2 pounds but that may well be a variance in my limb weight. These are mediums and makes a 68 inch Bow. I will come back and follow with Brace height and how it shoots later but I am thinking this riser is about efficiency and forgiveness combined and was well thought out to give a shooter a fast very shootable riser from the looks of it from a design point of view. I like the looks of it and I like the three holes that seem to be just right in height and can be shot off the shelf or with any rest set up or cushion button configurations a person might come up with. I will measure the berger hole height later but for now, let's look at pics of this cool gray anodized riser.
Yours truly shooting the riser https://youtu.be/3oOmaLu5Gv8 OK notice the riser has limb bolt locks too.

You can see Bob sent three very nice grips of low, medium and high which is a nice way to find your best fit for your style of shooting.

Also notice the brass adjustable for the lateral ILF slip in limb fittings. You can see the adjustment screws on the sides of the riser pockets.

I like the feel of this bow and at three pounds it seems I might even hunt some with one of these. You know a lite weight hunting rifle is around 6 or 7 pounds.

I like the "Figure" of this Gal with limbs on it. Looks like a shooter with the lines of a 17 degree 25-inch riser. Later and having fun

Sam, very pretty riser. It reminds me of a 650 Club with a touch of Yamaha Super Feel Forged.

Are these available for purchase again? I emailed him a while back about these risers, and he said he produced a run of 5 before focusing on the shorter risers.

Yours truly shooting the Morrison. https://youtu.be/3oOmaLu5Gv8

Looks to be cut 5/16's or so past center and still measuring and eval, will get back later. NOTE that I loved shooting the riser with no grip.

Thumbs up Re: Morrison 25 inch riser pictures

Just a few more observations.

Top berger hole is 0.600 to the middle of the hole from the riser shelf.
The riser is cut 0.375 past center.
I was shooting a 7 1/2 inch brace height and the Bow liked it.

Is there anything I would change about this riser?

Yes, This riser would belong to me instead of Morrison Archery, lol https://youtu.be/3oOmaLu5Gv8

Always like the looks of Bob's metal risers. They are the best looking conventional ILF hunting riser. They look better than the DAS, the Titan and the Sky short risers. And the new Hoyt

Yep. Looks spigish. I been thinking of a 25. I would like to get on the pass around.

Do you have a price point?

Well, I think very reasonable compared to most and do not mean that in a negative way toward any other makers. Like I said at the beginning, I do not work for Bob and am not in any way receiving anything for this except the fun of shooting a great riser. That is reward enough for me.

Man do envy your weather Sam, snowed again today along with some rain. I shot that riser probably 2yrs ago, seemed nice. Why hasn't this gone into production Bob?

It was a so nice today we went on walks in the woods and shed hunted with my two grandkids and both dogs for about two miles. Bet it was mid 70's or so.
