Default Poundage for NFAA Indoor & 3D?

Title says it all, I am curious as to what poundage you folks run for Indoor and the same question for IBO 3d. I would like to shoot Trad Hunter but I am considering Modern Longbow as I happen to shoot this particular set up better.

I shoot the same 38# limbs for both. Last year TH was won by a guy shooting longbow with carbon arrows, so you could shoot either class competitively with your longbow.

I shoot 39# OTF for both, but plan to drop to around 35# for indoors next season.

Haven't shot indoors in a while but I shoot 39-45# for 3d. Next time I get serious about indoor I'll probably shoot 40-42#.

I've shot both modern longbow and Trad Hunter. TH presents a unique challenge due to the arrow weight restriction, especially if you pull less than 28" or shoot under 45#. Granted it's shot from the white stakes but those heavy arrows can be punishing.

36-41 for about everything now. Last years final setup was 37-39 indoors and 39 for outdoors.

44# for everything, although if I was serious about indoor paper I'd probably drop 6-10 pounds for that.

With wooden arrows about 45 pounds. With other arrows 35 pounds works well for me with both recurve and longbow. Around 40 would be sufficient for field archery to 80 yards and for deer sized game. 40 is a good all around weigh with a normal draw length and modern materials. 45 is too but can be fatiguing if you shoot a lot of arrows in a week. - lbg

That's very strange Cody...I did NOT see an improvement with your MLB yesterday The sooner you realize I don't bite on your non sense the better off you'll be.

Currently 45.
Future 35-40 with ultra light arrows.

It's not a game of strength.
John.

Indoor: 34# @ 30" (with a 32.5", 505gr arrow it gives a point-on of 22 yards)
Outdoor: 28# @ 30" (Love it because I can shoot for hours without fatigue)
Hunting: 45# @ 30"

Hello
A well thought out plan.
For me 50# for hunting.
Hours without fatigue. Is a good gauge for ones body bow poundage. [ Later
