I recommend that most people asked them separately rather than as a group.

Okay. I am about to be in popular, but I echo Mr. Paraney's advice.

My experience is you can NOT make yourself like a grip. I have been able to get around draw weight, length, sight window, limb shape... You get the idea. A grip you are not happy with will just leave you cold in the end. It is about fit. I will not buy my favorite boots two sizes too big because it's a good deal. You should not either! I know it's hard, but pass on that bow.

So, did you get the bow? That is an AWESOME deal on that bow. I'd buy it in a heart beat. I realize this is an older post, but don't see if you bought it or not.

I'd do neither. The grip will wear on you. There are a lot of sweet bows out there that I can't shoot and be happy with. Grips are something you pretty much either like... or you don't.

As for longsword, that's something that you will end up hanging on a wall as a decoration until the woman in your life replaces it with a painting from Pier One.

Take that money and buy fencing gear. That's an Olympic sport that you can do long into your golden years. I'd recommend Epee, since its closest to dueling. Every state, and pretty much every major city, has a fencing club or academy. Great sport if you like combat.

Trust me, if you're at a party and say: "Yeah, actually I bought a $400 long sword and I cover it in a foam strip and whack around with a couple of my friends in the park on Saturdays" before that party is over, you will be drinking alone and talking to yourself...

FWIW.

That will actually be in season 6 on Arrow. He is giving up on the Oneida and going with a Gil Hibben inspired horse bow.

No I did not, while I have saved up for it, me and the lady are also taking a trip to Wyoming and it's ending up costing a lot more than we had figured (as usual) so I'll have to let that bow go.

If anyone is over that way it's in and Idaho tradition bow shop, really awesome little shop, It's called Pony Express that's where the bow is for anyone that wants to get it!

I have it under lay away at the moment but it goes back up for sale the 29th of this month
