Some really good scores here. My PB as far as I can remember is 271. I'd like to break that but I'm not sure I have the time to do the practice necessary.

This thread was a recent and very enjoyable read for me. This morning was my third effort at 60 arrows - 20 yards using a 40cm fita target I printed off the web. I am not sure the differences in the blue face nfaa target and this one which measures 14 5/8" to the largest score ring with the (yellow) measuring 2 3/4". Anyways, I am gonna get proper nfaa targets and shoot at least one a week....I think the discipline of trying to maintain the needed concentration will allow me some self improvement. Black Wolf, thx for the cool start on this thread. tim

Mahony
Only difference between the Vegas spot and blue face spot, is scoring blue face 5-1, Vegas face 10-1, x are same number value.
Size or center and outside is identical, blue face rings are wider than Vegas rings, vegas rings will fit 2 scoring rings into 1 blue face scoring rings.

Personally the Vegas spot is more difficult for me.
Blue face I can concentrate on the white spot surrounded by all the blue.

Thank you for the reply Chad.

Agree with your comment regarding being able to better concentrate on the white spots contrasting against the blue face. My long time daily practice target is a dollar sized spot against my carpet target and when I initially started shooting the fita targets the colored scoring rings were a distraction....smile.

Still doing a 300 round twice a week. The discipline of 60 arrows is definitely benefiting my archery by taxing my concentration. The final ends are where I pick up my 3's. I've yet to shoot a 300 without a couple of 3's....

Been shooting the Vegas face for 3 weeks in prep for the indoor season this year. All I can say is I can't wait for Vegas !! It's going to be another great year!

don't peak too early. That is my problem. I'm "trying" to shoot poorly for awhile (successfully) so I can be better in Vegas. lol

Finally got the new bow setup (WF 25, with a rest, plunger, and a 12"stab). Spent a couple hours in the morning getting it dialed in with the only 600 arrows I had on hand (Carbon Express Predator 2040) Then took a short break and shot a 300 round. First one with a recurve in almost 2 years. Ended up with a 273 7x. Bow shot great, and every 4 I shot I knew why. Just gotta work on getting a better release. Pretty excited for the indoor leaves to get started up around here, I will be the only one shooting a barebow, but at least I won't have to shoot alone.

Ive shot two rounds this year so far and they were a 274,293...feeling stronger but sure needed that 4 month break.

now feel really weak towards the end.

Dewayne try lighter limbs and your new lighter riser you will feel stronger in the end rounds I'm guessing.-great shooting.
