Default Replacement for Limb Bolt Nut, Martin Jaguar T/D

I pulled a real bonehead stunt and lost one of the nuts to my limb bolts on the way back from the woods yesterday. After going to the local dealer that sells Martin Jaguars and being told he doesn't carry parts because "No one really ever loses those." (thanks, dude. I didn't feel stupid enough ) I made a frantic trip to my local hardware store. After digging around with a friendly store employee, found a 5/16-18 thread 3/4" cross dowel - its basically the same part as your nut, but it's stainless and costs about $1.50. Rushed home, put the bow together - limbs are as snug as ever. I haven't shot it yet, but I really can't see a difference in the limbs.
So, if you have a big brain fart like some poor souls sometimes do, try this out.
Good luck & good hunting.

Yup, loosing a nut can ruin your day.

I just couldn't resist. Thanks for ACE hardware stores. I wish we'd had them in Germany also. Everything you find in german stores is metric in size.

Hello, I own a Martin Saber Recurve Takedown bow and was trying to find a limb bolt kit for some time. I contacted Martin and was given this info.-

You will want to get in touch with Jeff's Specialty Sports and have him order you a bolt Pack for your saber and have us send it to you. You can contact Jeff at 866-494-3802 (sorry, it wont let me post his Email)

I contacted Jeff and this was his reply-

Martin Archery wants potential customers to go thru Authorized dealers to sell their products and if I don't have any spare bolt packs or anything else you need from Martin, I can get it.
What we would do is have the bolt pack sent directly from Martin to you (I don't have any spare bolt packs in stock). If you like you can email or call me with your full name, shipping address and I'll give Martin a call with your order and that's it.

(it was less than $40) No sales tax unless you're located in California. You can pay by any major credit card or I can send a "Money Request" to your Paypal account and pay that way... whichever is easiest for you.
Any other question, don't hesitate to ask.
Jeff at Jeff's Specialty Sports

I hope this helps anyone in need
