Riser length opinions

I will be purchasing a new metal riser in the near future. I know the metal risers are be adjustable with everything except the length. I am looking for a riser that I can shoot targets (3D) and hunt with. I have it narrowed down to a 17" Titan II and 19" Ghillo riser. I hunt from tree stands and ground blinds. I would like to know what you would choose and why?

I ran into the same question about 2.5 years ago. I went with 21 inches. I'm glad with my choice. Excel, Revolution, Axiom, Bernardini Cobra, and now a Tempest. Gives me the options of 64 and 66 inches for hunting. I like accuracy, and would never go shorter.

That's just me and you asked.

Personally
21" for hunting in my opinion is a very versatile riser, short limbs give you 62" bow for hunting, medium or long for 3d and target, 64"-66"
I like longer bows for hunting.

given those 2 risers you mentioned, I'd choose the 19" one.
longs give a 64" bow, and shorts give a 60 inch bow.
short enough at 60" for some decent use in a blind, and long enough at 64" for hunting & targets for folks without gorilla arm draw lengths.
heck, Matt Potter at 6'8" or so shoots a 19" Dorado for hunting.

The thing I would look at is your draw length and choosing the right length limbs.
A 17" with mediums vs 19" with shorts. Same 60" bow, but not if you shoot a 29" draw.

I also draw 27"and my first metal riser was a 17 inch Das Dalaa and medium limbs nice shooter, then I got a Tradtech Titan111 19 inch riser and shoot medium limbs and for me I like this combo the best a really good all rounder. If those nice people at Gillo made the GHOST in LH that would have been my 1st choice.
