    If your riser is a old wood compound riser they are pretty well overbuild and a lot of wood can be safely removed to get a better looking riser, just be careful in the grip area.

    If you have those Samik ILF fittings all you need to do is measure carefully where they need to go and get them dead center in the riser. Use a Dremel tool to remove the wood or a small real sharp wood chisel, works as well only slower. Just get the slot dead center and you should be just fine..I wouldn't worry to much about getting them adjustable side to side, it's more trouble that it's worth.

    You can make the slot a little over sized then when you string the bow you can align the limbs by moving the Samick fitting a little then when you have the limbs where you want them epoxy the fitting in place. Hope this helps you a little..Bob
